Bury North MP James Frith met with the Chief Executive of Transdev this week to demand new services for Bury, Tottington and Ramsbottom after residents report declining standards in recent months.
Transdev recently took ownership of Rosso and are now the largest operator in Bury. James met with them to ask them to consider reinstating a version of the X35 express route linking Ramsbottom to Manchester, reintroducing a service connecting Tottington to Ramsbottom and to look at the frequency of services from the north of the borough into Bury via Walmersley Road, Brandlesholme Road and Tottington Road.
“I’m committed to improving local bus services and I’m willing to work with any operator who wants to invest in our communities and improve residents’ access to public transport. I’m delighted that Transdev listened carefully and promised to consider all of the proposals I put forward and I hope we will be able to share good news with local people soon.”
