Save Bury Walk-In Centre

IMG_6408.JPG

Tory pressure on our NHS has led to a plan to close Bury Walk-In Centre. This much loved service is used by thousands of people every month. The walk-in centre relieves pressure on GP waiting times and saves the NHS millions by diverting thousands of people every year from Fairfield A&E.

A very worthwhile cause we need this to stay open as they help relieve the pressure on GP surgeries and they are immediate, no appointment

We need this place as it’s impossible to see a doctor unless you can predict your illness in advance. Can never get a convenient appointment when needed at ourisk doctors.

I am a nurse practitioner working in a Bury GP’S surgery and I also worked on the bank at the walk in centre at the weekends and know the number of patient that used to attend out of hours .There is no way GPS and A&E can cope with the numbers of extra patients if the walk in centres close

The bury walk in center is necessary and saves blocking the A&E with people who don’t really need the hospital.

Desperately need to keep the walk in centre open.getting a doctors appointment is often near impossible .my last attempt resulted in 103 calls from 8 to 8.30 am only to be told there was no appointments left . I ended up having to take my child to the walk in centre .keep this vital service open!!

I have used the centre on many occasions for myself and taken others there. It’s ridiculous that they would close the place down, one minute they want places open longer and weekends then they want to lessen the hours. This will mean people go to A/E causing a longer que there. That will make the government’s waiting times at A/E unobtainable. I just don’t understand their thinking, we in this country are going backwards. If people in the street can see it then why are those who are given the power to make decisions not able to see. Please James make them see.
